Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Lenzo ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Timova Labs Ltd ("we", "us", "our").

2. Description of Service

Lenzo is a language learning application that uses camera-based object recognition and artificial intelligence to help you learn words from real objects, practise pronunciation, use those words in short roleplay conversations, and review them over time. Lenzo is available through a paid subscription, with a free trial for new users.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

Lenzo is available through auto-renewing subscriptions managed via the Apple App Store:

• Monthly subscription: Auto-renewing on a monthly billing cycle.
• Annual subscription: Auto-renewing on a yearly billing cycle.

Prices are displayed in the app and may vary by region and currency. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions).

Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy. We do not process payments or refunds directly.

4. Free Trial

New users may be eligible for a free trial of premium features. The duration of the trial will be stated at the time of sign-up. If you do not cancel before the free trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged the displayed subscription price. You can cancel the trial at any time through your Apple ID settings.

5. AI-Generated Content

Lenzo uses artificial intelligence (Google's AI services) to provide object recognition, pronunciation scoring, and roleplay conversations. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content (translations, pronunciation feedback, conversation responses) may not always be perfectly accurate.
• Lenzo is a learning tool, not a certified language assessment service. AI outputs should not be relied upon as authoritative translations or linguistic references.
• We continually work to improve accuracy but do not guarantee error-free results.
• AI-generated conversations are for educational purposes only and may occasionally produce unexpected or imperfect content.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Lenzo only for its intended purpose of language learning. You must not:

• Use the camera feature to scan or process illegal, harmful, obscene, or offensive content.
• Attempt to manipulate or abuse the AI features (e.g., prompt injection, generating harmful content).
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the application.
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's servers, networks, or infrastructure.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the app.
• Share, resell, or redistribute your subscription access to others.

7. Your Content & Data

Your vocabulary cards, photos, learning progress, and conversation history remain your property and are stored locally on your device. We do not claim ownership of any content you create within the app.

Important: Because your data is stored locally on your device, we cannot recover it if you delete the app, lose your device, or switch to a new device. You are responsible for any data loss resulting from device changes or app deletion. We recommend using your device's standard backup features (e.g., iCloud Backup) to protect your data.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, designs, branding, and technology in Lenzo (including but not limited to the Lenzo name, logo, Lenso character, user interface, and underlying software) are the intellectual property of Lenzo and its licensors, protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial language learning purposes.

9. Termination & Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Lenzo, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are using the app in a way that could harm us, other users, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including liability, indemnification, and intellectual property) will continue to apply.

10. Disclaimers

Lenzo is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Without limiting the above, we do not warrant that:

• Object recognition, translations, or pronunciation scoring will be accurate in all cases.
• The app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
• AI-generated content will be suitable for any particular purpose beyond informal language practice.
• The app will be compatible with all devices or operating system versions.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of learning progress, arising from your use of or inability to use the app.
• Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (via the App Store) in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lenzo, its owner, and its affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the app, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection provisions in your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the app.

15. General

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the app.
